LEGEND CACHIPOSO

They start engines and start from Tarma, our driver guide presents the historical and starts babbling, the sun makes its way while the "crazy rain" appears, given that the tostándote sunlight; they call "macho rain" to torrential and "female rain" to fine drizzles, and our tour we had the second happily, but much of the latter.
Our first stop, Chuchupampa, wide valley that gives rise to the flowers that characterize this part of the country; colorful robes we see in the days before Easter.
Furthermore, this serves as a lookout point to the city from another perspective we can find on any postcard. Elevating the eyes can see why it is also known to this valley as "pampa breast" two mountains close enough to simulate two large and spectacular pair of breasts ............... photo of rigor and continue forward.
San Pedro de Cajas be seen in the distance, populated by weavers, rather artists. But before that we find its Cachipozo, consisting of a small stone building with two wells inside.
Curiosity apart and reason for its appeal is that these wells contain salt water and saltier than the other well.
There is a legend narrated by the guardian of this place that I share below:
"They were two young lovers who were forbidden by their parents and the gods to spend the night together. She was the daughter of a powerful sorcerer, he, the son of a rival chief. Both had sworn death. Aware of love for one another , they sent lock her in a remote location. They could not be seen. Only the voice of the communicated torcazas every night. Aware of the fathers to marry her to the village curaca claims, let him know his lover his decision to abscond.
Decided freed from the chullpa in which he was. Both fled, but the sorcerer and his people were behind them. They marched day and night, but tired at the end of stalking, became white doves through the magical arts of the maiden. They flew many days to reach a water source, where they decided to settle, but once drank from its waters, fell asleep at the bottom of the deep well where they became salt. Since then the water of the well cover the body of the lovers and the place is known as the CACHIPOZO. "
The Festival of the Clean Cachipozo takes place on July 4th each year opportunity to wash the wells and for the population at the end of a ceremonial ritual starts throwing oranges, which in itself should be a show.
The town of San Pedro de Cajas welcomes us with a tolerable female rain and our guide takes us to one of the textile centers.
Actually all houses here are factories of art, creating custom based on cotton, alpaca and sheep wool is transmitted from generation to generation, and this comes from many centuries ago.
Most of its products consists of tapestries of different sizes, all very colorful and differentiated quality of details and therefore in the price, with landscaped grounds, animals, people, scenes of daily life, etc; these tapestries can cost several hundred suns, and many of them are exported, sometimes made to order, with the picture or image desired by the buyer.
Having one of these wonders in an area of the house should be a pride for every traveler who values the habits of the people and by the creativity and dexterity of the human hand ....
